I look forward to your experiences there. Previously when I lived there for a stint in the early 90’s I was surprised to find that the French were really racist against North Africans, who they had a history with. The oppressed were no living in larger and larger numbers in the country of their oppressors. The white American woman whose kid my friend was being a nanny for was married to a black African man, who was educated and working. No one seemed to mind and there didn’t seem as much prejudice as they would have faced in the US. It may have substantially changed with a greater influx of Africans since then so just curious.
