I do not know much about ABA and autism, but by coincidence I watched "But I am a Cheerleader," a rom-com about a repressed lesbian who thinks she's straight before going to conversion therapy. In the end she unites with her love. That was a happy ending. Because you can't change gay, it's just genetic. My brother is gay, which I've know for forty years, and I never had a problem or hoped he change. It's impossible. Genetic programming can be overcome by discussing your relationship with your mother and seeing if she is the cause and changing behaviors. Before that I saw an hour lecture by Temple Grandin on Youtube speaking in Indianapolis. She's a true genius, brilliant lecture, and glad no one changed her. I don't know how far where on the spectrum your son is, or much about that. But I wish you the best of luck and acceptance.
