I agree, but although changes have brought higher and lower payments, I’m fortunate I don’t depend on them and am driven passion. But it still is the case that there is not many choices out there. And because of AI, I’ll be honest, if one of my extra dollars per month goes into protecting Medium against it, then it’s worth it. I would even pay an extra dollar to have a badge that says “Not AI Generated.” I’m not AI expert, but the future is clear that it does in many ways threaten creators.
