Holy cow, at first I was thinking, “But those songs are sung by black artists.” But then it hit me hard: Wait, what? Those record labels aren’t promoting and distributing songs about killing Jews, gays, whites, trans, etc. Holy cow, it’s so obvious now that I can’t believe this issue hasn’t been raised. Thank you. I wonder if that part of the systemic part of systemic racism. The system is not governmental in this case but large corporate media companies, but it is still widely distributing songs about —as you say “killing n@&-as”. If a famous black rapper like Travis Scott or Kanye made a song and used white and talked about killing white men over and over again in the song like they were part of a rival gang, I wonder if there would be outrage. What about a whole album? OMG, the backlash. I remember when Ice-T released “F— the Police.” That’s probably as close as we’ve got to a mainstream song about killing whites, though he didn’t say anything about killing and whites specifically. The only “acceptable” songs about violence media companies will release are when it is black on black violence. I’m pretty riled up. Again, thanks for the observation.
