Here’s a Story You See Everyday
Has Anybody Heard of the Opposite?
Instant poll: Has anyone heard the story of the white teenager or young man shot in the back while running away?
Seriously, I can’t recall any off the top of my head. I saw the new story of the police investigation into the store owner in South Carolina who shot a fourteen-year-old was running away. Reportedly. With a gun found “nearby.” Reportedly.
Sorry for the cynicism but you know, the whole allegations, chase a black American man, or men, and shot or lynch him or them thing. It always starts with an allegation. It’s never substantiated with evidence I can see, only evidence that some police report or sheriff verified.
As with the case of Cyrus Carmack-Belton, the 14-year-old shot in the back while fleeing the scene of shopping, the whole thing fits the 140-year pattern of slight accusation against him followed by violence of him. This discrepancy this tome is the alleged thieving. He was seen taking a couple bottles of water. What I suppose is a capital offense. After the store owner saw the promising youngster supposedly stealing a bottle of water — or a couple bottle of water — the store owner chased him from the shop, gun at the ready, the shot him in the back. Killing poor Cyrus with a single bullet.
