Here technically he is correct, but just forgot to mention that the rule of law is state law, as it was in the Jim Crow era. The Jim Crow I just read about and wrote about from South Carolina was all about the limits imposed and tried over several elections that deliberately did not mention race, so as not to violate the 14th and 15th amendments. They were in effect "colorless" state election law. The numerous technicalities imposed are very similar to today's new slate of state GOP laws in red states that are also colorless. Same tactics, exactly. It took until 1965 to end what were clearly not colorless laws. How long will it take to end these new ones?
