Great to hear of your deep rooted experience in this and connections to move human civil rights (called inalienable rights by the founders) forward and by extension democracy. It does sound like a good documentary and I saw another the Obama’s produced on the Cotilda on Netflix which was excellent. I would just add that it isn’t bad to be stuck in time. The present is built on the struggles of the past. The laws that arose we life with are made from those who fought for the human rights against the powerful controlling forces, which in America have been most white men.
