350! Years of Black Disenfranchisement

On the eve of this historic battle — I’m talking about the Mike Tyson and Jake Paul fight of course, which I’m destined to watch that stuff — I have realized after the 2024 that fighters fight, whether they win or lose. One of these guys is going down, that’s for sure. It might be a bell or it might be a knockout, or it might be just somebody dies. But they got refs that intervene.

Our democracy has none.

That’s what significant third parties are for. Ones based on values, not personalities. It’s a permanent solution to stop the madness. These two parties are not fighting; they are agreeing. Democracy is not about getting along politically but about defeating autocracy when it arises. In the last 350 years of black disenfranchisement, it’s done nothing but arise. But you don’t feel it, only a story of defeat. I’ve heard many black Americans say some version of “This country was founded by white male property owners who could vote.”

But yes, you heard me, the current date of when I’m working on in my historical research on black disenfranchisement by whites has been countered in each place white and black working to enfranchise black votes. If it seems impossible to believe, the factual truth, is largely because I’m not reading a new work, but a historical research…
