The False Allegations of White Media About Extreme Liberal
The delusional fantasies I frequently dabble are feed by watching clips on YouTube of mainstream media analysis of the attempted prosecution of Trump. The January 6th hearings are riveting, the tension is ratcheting up, soon, every so soon, the charges will be brought, actual real criminal charges. When I heard Ari on MSNBC talk about “extreme polarization” I just balked.
When I heard a black American woman newscaster, who I like to watch clips of, Joy Reid on the Reid report, say the phrase yesterday, “Democracy is hanging by thread,” I lost it. She knows better than that. Joy, please, black Americans haven’t even experienced much democracy.
The white scripted media now seems as delusional as it was back when America was great, and as good at gaslighting, too.
The only “toxic polarization” is coming from the right. These are the facts, the evidence. Political news analysts like Ari Melber are lawyers by training. He focus on the evidence of the Trump trial, an overabundance of detailed discussion dissecting it from every angle. Trump’s wild “Big Steal” based on allegations of voting rigging without not really a shred of evidence gets them nut. The emperor has no clothes.
How can PBS show the Republicans have gotten one million new people switching to them this year, adding to their roles, not subtracting from them. The trial and ratcheting pressure do nothing but apparently help the GOP elections chances, not hurt them. They can’t even see this anger cooking the red meat under the surface is just attracting more of the wild animals. So how aren’t they able to analyze this phenomenon, this reverse affect?
Because that strain of white media, too, hate facts and evidence, leaving some strange implication of who the far left could be: AOC?, Muslims? Black Americans? Please tell us Ari. We want specifics. Show us who these Extreme left-wing people are.
Extreme polarization? Evidence please!
Now, I’ve studied the sad historical facts of American treatment of black Americans more intensely since George Floyd’s murder, so the conclusion for me seems pretty clear. There will be no arrest, no charges; these things have been avoided. Violent insurrectionist lynchings went on and on for decades after the Civil War, consolidating power, not dispersing it. This uninhibited moral disgust went on without cessation until World War caused a distraction. There was no investigation, no mock trials, and still never an apology for thousands of lynchings done for a political purpose: for American Unity. [of whites — do I have to say it?]
A trial eventually came because live Big Media kept pointing its cameras, so some show trail had to happen. But of course, it took over 120 years to get to the point to prosecute a group of angry men for a lynching of a random young black American male, an upwardly mobile hardworking kid, pulled off the street. That was in 1981 in Alabama and his name was Michael Donald. Remember his name.
After that came a civil lawsuit, and the media was quick to point out after Michael’s mother won that suit, the $7 million dollar verdict bankrupted the KKK. Case closed. One lynching trial was enough superficially to settle that last hundred twenty plus years of murderous, unaccounted, unprosecuted white lynching. One lawsuit was enough to declare the KKK bankrupt — apparently morally and financially — and racism was over. Wow, I feel better. Let’s move on now. That’s delusional. The evidence is as clear the claim and it the same evidence showing there is “no extreme two sides.”
The evidence tells us on the “extreme left” that only one side is dangerous.
Here’s a hint: it’s not “ours.” Most left “extremists” like myself and the ones I read, the people-authors on Medium for example, are dissecting the power structure of racism, violence, with words and thoughts, not violently rambling the street with AR-15s or nooses. While it’s true I heard the famous phrase of Malcolm X, “the bullet or the ballot” three decades ago, I never heard of him shooting a gun. The black panthers may have carried some guns, but an investigation later showed the FBI and Chicago cops did all the shooting that killed Fred Hampton. Hundreds of bullets, all from the cops. Like the 60 bullets fired at Mr. Walker in Akron, Ohio.
The one extreme is indeed extreme. The words and analysis and “justice warriors” on the extreme left don’t typically spend their weekends renting machine guns at the range to blast at old cars at the shooting range.
The extreme right are the only set of extremists America has on display in bulk. That is the evidence. They are the ones whose followers are issuing death threats, claiming the election was a fraud, making constant misogynistic and racial slurs and dog whistles, targeting and stalking poll workers. There is no equivalent on the left. There are no Proud Boys, Three Percenters, KKK (if they still exist because they’ve been sued out of existence), and the myriad number of militias arming and training for the next civil war.
There are no examples of equivalent white George Floyds or white Ahmed Aubreys being gunned down by stand-your-ground, don’t-tread-on-me extreme black American activists. There are no white Brianna Taylors or white Jayland Walkers going down in a hailstorm of bullets from severe black police overreaction due to the alleged perpetrators white skin color eliciting an overreaction in the black cops.
Anti-fa wasn’t an organized group picking out arms together at gun shows to “defend their nation” or “their Freedom.” They were just a loose movement on a hastily created website made by a couple friends. That’s the evidence, because the FBI said so. That’s the real analysis based on real evidence. The FBI said 95 percent of domestic terrorism is by white men with guns leaning into supremacy. Their claim is based on an analysis of evidence, again and again reaching that conclusion for over a decade. I might not trust the FBI much, but even they haven’t reached any other conclusion except that of an America plagued by one-side extremism.
The white-media center needs to stop lying, making up this false claim of “toxic hyper partisanship” and “extreme polarization.” Unless they start ponying up the evidence to prove it. So, I’ll keep repeating their claim of bi-polarization, bi-extremism America is a tactic gaslighting, a brainwashing of the delusion of balance and unity.
They have NO examples from the left to match the overwhelming examples from the violent and race-slurring right. No wonder why Trump can get away with making false claims about stealing the election with no evidence: because of the white media and lying politicians pretending justice and injustice exists on both sides in extremity. Monkey see monkey do.
