Excellent, powerful piece. I hadn't seen that comparison and agree it shouldn't been made. It is also important that you point out that the trauma non-black Americans go through is anything like what black Americans went and go through.

I will make a note not to do it myself, and I try to stear clear of that. The structural conditioning of black Americans within our society is not comparable. I have noticed that some Repbulicans are try to push Asian discrimination as some how as equal when it can not be compared at all. I think they are trying to conflate it to excuse themselves, and maybe a few other reasons as well.
