Dear Chief of Police, I write to you to day, Yes, Yes, they do represent your values, the values of police departments everywhere. If they didn’t we wouldn’t keep seeing these shootings, or death by cops, over and over and over again. They must represent your department, otherwise this would not keep happening across the country. Somewhere deep in your department sir there is a dark hatred, a heart of darkness, that refuses to train officers on how to respond with dignity, respect, and decency toward black Americans they same way as they do whites. Otherwise, I can not stress this enough, it wouldn’t keep happening. Your values are embedded in the training and management you gave to that police officer. They were. Deal with it. Because you are not.
