Correct, and I agree. I use the term now "black American" and white--without American, to try to give a bit more dignity to black Americans than . I have been thinking of what to use, and I do absolutely believe in the struggle to humanize black Americans like yourself. I struggle with terms as well, but I recognize the dignity of black Americans and appreciate it more when I struggle with terms. Respect is always there for me. But I still have to write about the issue even though I cannot understand it or experience it better than you. So, it makes hard and I don't want to give up uncovering the racist history of our shared country.
