Bring it on!

Also, to add another line of thinking to this critical right-wing trope you excellently identified, the Stolen Work idea creates a mental structure that there is an economic pie, and people are stealing your slice. The pie metaphor forms an idea there are limited resources, and so the ones coming to take it means you have to defend your own resources, and the “best,” fastest way is with your “own” people.

The idea of the threat is critical to supremacist politics in America, and it shows up in the “Stolen Work” because it attacks a key area of a person, their economic endeavors to earn money. Threats and anger activate more than just your emotional brain below your prefrontal cortex, but your survival instinct. Survival is more important than love and lofty ideals to the brain stem.

So reactive brains look for immediate similarities to form in a band of hunters. Those who look the same are easy to identify when you’re under attack, and harks back to the hunter-gather Neolithic fight for survival.

To keep this mentality alive, anger and threats must be continual and illogical, non-factual. Stories and tropes stimulate visceral reactions while facts only inhibit instinctual, primal “hate”, or animalistic self-defense mechanism by causing self-reflection. Facts and rational discussions don’t defend your family from invaders at your front door. Shoot first, call the cops after; you have a right to stand your ground.

That’s the basic “argument” of the Republicans appeal, why they use tropes embedded with fear of the other, and not stories with facts, and why they want to keep the “loyalty” to their brand by using Trump for as long as they can. He is fearless in his liberal use of lies, racist and sexist tropes, and language of continual attack.

If Democrats were good at using this method of trope usage for loyalty group bonding to create local hunting militias by short-circuiting the rational brain, then I guess they would all be Republicans.

Thanks much for pointing out this topic. But watch your back at Trump rallies now they you’ve exposed their strategy. They’re on to you. [LOL, sort of]
