I find polls interesting, but I’m more interested in values, ones that reflect democracy. According to my personal standards based on sound principles of democracy, Trump fails as a candidate, but I don’t see Biden trying to clear that bar either. Americans forget that voting in an election doesn’t mean democracy exists. You have to refer to set standards, not to polls.

Here’s a couple key points I use to test a candidate’s ability to pass my democracy values test. Polls might tell how voters “feel,” but values embedded in standards tell what candidates and laws do. After that, I can decide if they meet the standards to be a US president that deserves to be polled. If I sound arrogant because I have my own test and standards to determine which president or Senator, past or present, can be called “pro-democracy”, neutral, or anti-democracy, then you’ve already failed one part of test. Sorry. It’s my test. Make your own. Mine are based on the natural rights promised in the declaration, which I personally don’t think are being followed.
