I just read that violent threats and name calling against Jews is rising. The Washington Post reports an eleven-year-old girl walked out of her house and found: “a swastika. Someone had cut the Nazi symbol out of purple construction paper, adding in permanent marker: HELL BOUND. HAVE FUN!”

It’s awful, but I personally can’t understand it at all. I don’t get why people are angry at Jews and must admit I find it so odd. I could care less about “Jews.” Maybe I’m too self-absorbed. I don’t mean to sound flippant, but I would rather not see them harmed, and probably have just studying American anti-black history. I already had studied the Holocaust and Germany and considered it a morally reprehensible “closed case” — but clearly, it’s not a closed case in America.

Sure, I’ve heard about the small minority in New York City that keep to themselves, Hasidic Jews, apparently had stolen some money, a lot, through the New York City school system loophole. But grift and abuse isn’t unique to some enclosed subsect Jews in NYC, and instead is prevalent in all cultures, religious sects. However, slaughter and genocide in America seems to be creeping up on them. 11 Jews were gunned down in a synagogue and another one in Texas was invaded with an 11 hour standoff.
