Another excellent piece and I don’t hear enough really about all the racism that happened during World War II, probably because of the focus has been on World War II. But the fact here that also is not emphasized enough is that the president was the one who segregated the armed forces when he served under President Woodrow Wilson as secretary of the Navy during and before World War I. The president had segregated all other federal positions and Mr. Wilson also is famous for showing the first movie that became a Hollywood blockbuster because of his promotion of it, birth of a nation. So of course, the black men were desegregated long ago by the president who had no intentions of re-segregating them.
Or promoting them. White praise him because he made the new white deal. But he actually just signed all of those acts that Congress passed, which were made by the most racist southern Democrats in the 20th century, and that’s saying a lot. Those Democrats of the solid south took all of the benefits out from every new deal bill that went to. Of course these southern Democrats had allies outside the south who were racist lite. Those bills were made only for whites.
Social Security was just for whites as detailed by the bill. The farm bill actually allowed the federal government to push black sharecropper off their land and or pray, replace them by whites, which happens in the south. 75% of the population of blacks live in the south, and they were explicitly forbidden to make unions under the bill that gave Whites outside the south ability to make unions. The mortgage act gave Whites the famous 20 year and 30 year fix loan, but excluded blacks, made in 1934. There were no benefits given to blacks from these, and only a few blocks outside the south receive some benefits by joining some northern unions. The bills that those senators signed that the President signed written by the solid south Democrats and their allies nationalized segregation in housing, Social Security benefits, unions, and allowed governments to force blacks off their land, like med grabber’s father who lost 85 acres of his 100. The other acres were turned over to Whites. These were the most, and only nationalized segregationist laws made to that point in America. Are you not celebrate that man or those senators since they were racially horrific when you look at the results of what happened from those bills. Data to me speaks louder than propaganda.
He also made Democrats Senator Bilbo mayor of Washington DC. Mayor Bilbo, and senator, then tore down an entire black neighborhood, kicking them out with his government power, to build a hospital there for whites in the Senate.
