As a species, we lack imagination. We can’t imagine things can get worse. But we can get worse as a whole. Anyone who collectively becomes richer, we believe in America in particular in The West, becomes more humane, more moral, and more just. We disregard the facts, regardless of how numerous they may be. If we inflict war, as Americans, it is not our fault. If we engage in genocide as Americans, we ignore it. We can’t and won’t even discuss it, let alone consider it. What our rulers in DC impose is not our responsibility and doesn’t reflect on us.

We have American mercenaries hired to give out humanitarian food aid, and they are killing, wounding, and terrorizing starving people. We blame another country, Israel, which deserves condemnation, and also smear the starving, when we have complete control of the situation as the most significant military on earth ever, by far, a congressionally approved military appropriation that dwarfs the rest of the world’s combined. We supply the weapons. We have ships that block aid from reaching those in need.

However, we admit nothing to ourselves and ignore the obvious culpability we are clearly engaged in. I don’t feel hardly any voters think, “Well, I voted for this depravity both parties are…
