Ah, but there’s the rub: most of the founders were fooled into believing it was founded in Christianity. It was founded to separate God and religion out of government. A brilliant stratagem to allowed individuals to practice and believe any religion they want to outside of government, while also admitting into the public mindset (almost all Christian back then) the idea that basic human rights, inalienable rights, were inherent in every individual, regardless of their religion. It was masterstroke.
