It all sounds simple now that I see it, and that’s what I’m looking back: the simple plan Israeli had developed internally in their minds of the leaders driving this war. I try to get to some internal narrative in their collective mindset. To see what they are doing.

First you must wait. Wait to respond to an atrocious attack. Even though you’re only miles away. With the most sophisticated surveillance equipment and rapid response units on earth. But you wait anyway, and it all looks weird afterwards, the absence of response. But they will forget. You have to let tragedy happen for everyone to see before responding to it.

It makes sense as with time, you can claim legitimately the atrocities you hope to occur, and that gives you time to claim they’re even worse. You can send some “special” medical individuals in first, arrange the bodies, fix the details to be released. When they are finally embedded and setting up, then you thunder in and start your planned ‘defense’.

While the rockets launch and reign down on the other side of the walls and barb wire, into the occupied zone, the heavily monitored camp, you release press footage of those war killings that “special” operations teams made worse, who amplified the details and…
