Biden Looks into the Hearts of American People

OMG, I just screwed up royally in the title and I almost wanted to apologize and change it. But instead let’s use my vast and embarrassing mistake as a lesson on the blind spot of why Biden could lose the election: hint, it’s black people.

Before we look at what Biden said that was so bad, let’s look at Biden’s big problem. He is losing black Americans in the polling number. As it turns out, black Americans are sick of transactional Democratic politics; the kind that says every four years, vote for me and I’ll do something for you.

Let’s not forget that Senator Biden represented the Jim Crow state of Delaware for some decades. That state only stopped being Jim Crow finally, forced to remove desegregation laws that were in its books, maybe in the 1960s. Or on paper at least, as Biden found out. As it turns out, when you change laws that have shaped and conditioned behavior that forced people under law to be desegregationist, then you end up with a state culture that is after some one hundred and fifty years, largely segregationist.

Some black Americans in Delaware experienced in the refusal of white cultural to change its stripes in the 1960s and 70s. Although the Supreme Court ruled that segregation was not constitutional, schools went ahead with staying segregated. Biden…
